8 m/o pup playing outside?

i Have an 8 month old pup and he would MUCH rather play outside on the grass, but he only has 1 set of shots so far, i have no other dogs and havnt had one for years now, my lawn is also fenced in so i know no other dogs have been on my grass. I do, however have a cat that stays outside and she dosnt leave our property. She is very nice and wont mess with Leo and Leo knows better than to mess with her.

My question is, is it safe to let Leo play out on my lawn at 8 months?

8 months old or 8 weeks? 8 months is really late to only have 1 set of shots.

But, regardless, playing in your backyard should be fine with only 1 set of shots. He can also play with other dogs that you know have been vaccinated and are healthy. Big no-nos are dog parks, pet stores, parks, anywhere with a lot of dogs.

Your own yard should be fine.

mine always did and my vet said to play with our neighbors dog who was UTD with all vax was also safe to play with...

Our girls played outside from day 1 and we took them with us whenever we visited friends with fully vaccinated pets. The more you can expose your puppy to now, the better (so long as you're sensible about it of course). Not to mention.... if you try to keep an 8wk old boxer puppy indoors you'll probably go stir-crazy!!!
