5 Months old and already weighs....

51 pounds on his 5 month old B-day.......is that about normal or does he seem larger than most?

He was 16.7 lbs for his 8 week shots.......

He isn't overly thin but certainly isn't fat since you can see his last couple ribs.......we feed him 2 cups of food twice a day.......

He's a moose !!

My boxer puppy Rico is barley 5 month and he weighs 49 pounds, he is not fat either, you can see his ribs too. I don't know if this is normal but if both our puppies way almost the same then maybe it is common:D

my boy was 9lbs at his 9 week vist to the vet......guess i better get the weights out!!!

at nine weeks Rico wieghed about 12 pounds, so your puppy is not that much smaller, I think that my dog is really big for the breed

Our Zeus is 5 and a half months and he weighs 50 lbs.

I was also wondering if he's big for this age.......but it sounds like its normal for boys.

Small Female

Wow, my boxer is tiny! She was 9 weeks for her first vet visit and weighed 7 1/2 lbs. However, in one week, she has put on 2 lbs and grown almost 1 inch in height. The first think people notice when they see her are her ribs. She IS a bit thin, but hopefully will fill out fast. She eats Nutram puppy food, and eats about 2 1/2 cups per day.

Mugsyis 5 months today and weighs almost 30lbs! He was really thin when we first brought him home - he was the runt of the litter, and apparently didn't get as much to eat once they weren't nursing anymore. His appetite is increasing, but he's till thin. You can see all his ribs, but at least he's healthy. I'm thinking that he may just be on the smaller side.

Small female aslo.....

My little girl is 7 1/2 months and only 44 lbs. I try to feed her as much as I can- she looks super - just on the small side. BUT female boxers only get about 55 lbs. when full grown- so she is prob. right on track......her parents are show dogs- they tend to be smaller...(or shall I say "appropriate weight for a boxer")....ahhhhhhhh......I miss the days of a big ol' male!!! My little Bella Mia is sweet though......cute being "small".....

We just weighed Tunney last night, she is 6 1/2 months and weights 40 lbs, we can see her ribs as well... we were wondering if it is normal and its sounds like it is. We feed her 2 cups of food twice a day. Tunney burns around the yard on a daily basis and probably works off a lot of the food she eats. She gets a doggie cookie once a day and doggie jerky throughout when being trained. Darren thought maybe she is a little thin, but from the sounds of it, for a female she is among the norm... I hope.

jodirae your pup is so cute.... I weighed rico last week and he weighed 58.8 pounds!!! he is only 6 1/2 months, he always tackles me, I wish that he would have stayed smaller but, oh well, your pup sounds to be a good size, girls are usually smaller...:p
