As the title states!
I want to know a great way to approach my new family boxer to my 4 year old chihuahua.
Id really love for them to be great buddies ! So any advice will help :)

And how to train my boxer why its still young to play nice and not too aggressive since it will become much bigger when it's older.

Also i noticed that boxers require more walks than a chihuahua, and i was wondering how can i walk them without my chihuahua being overly tired in the end?

My little one can be yappy to SOME ppl (not all for some odd reason?) Would i have to expose them socially separately? ( i really do not want to but i don't want the boxer to wear off from my little guy)

I'd personally introduce them on neutral territory. Not IN your home OR yard.
You know your Chi best but.....he is going to be in for the ride of his life!
A baby Boxer (which is what your girl is) will be, without a doubt WAY more energetic than he is. Even if he is the most hyper ball of energy (for a Chi) on the planet. She is going to drive him a bit insane before it is all said and done. She is also always going to be stronger, bigger and capable of injuring him (without intention). Make sure to keep a close eye on him. How is he around other dogs? Does he have any experience with larger dogs?
A good portion of Chi's have explosive personalities! You mentioned that he can be yappy at *some* people. Boxers are not a yappy breed however they can for sure learn negative traits from other dogs.
Boxers not only require more walks but more mental stimulation and overall exercise in general than a lot of other breeds. You really can't be taking a 7 week old pup for walks until she has had all of her vaccinations. She also can't go on extended (forced on leash) walks just yet. 5 minutes at a time for every month of age. A 3 month old would equal a 15 minute on leash walk a couple times a day and so forth. When your pup is older it won't be any problem for her to walk for 45 mins or an hour at any one stretch (even more if they are allowed). When it is not too hot out of course!
You for sure need one on one time with your pup for socializing and training. Taking them out together is also a good thing but at this stage of the game the pup will pretty much need 100% supervision and time ALONE with YOU to learn what she needs to grow into a great well behaved adult.

Thank you Cami, I don't think i have thanked you enough for your answers, they have definitely helped. When i got my Chi @ 3 months old , he was playing with a bigger dog and jumping around and being active. And from 3 months old to 1.5 yrs old he has been living with my mom and I , and my mom has a small dog as well but she is old, grumpy and never wants to play with him so eventually after time Toby just got the idea and left my moms dog alone. My boyfriend and i moved out and our Chi has been living alone for the last 3 years. And my boyfriend has always loved dogs and wanted one of his own, and I always wanted a boxer as well as a companion for Toby. We knew what we were getting ourselves into, the no sleep, constant supervision of the both of them etc. I guess I was nieve to think they would get along right away. But we will never give up, I know deep down Toby still has that energized, dog playing mode in him. And we will keep working with the both of them. And from your other posts, will definitely try to work on having the boxer understand he is a family member and not a toy.
