4 month old, feed 2x a day?

Is it absolutely necessary to feed a 4 month old pup 3 times a day? Would 2 be ok?

I would certainly offer 3 meals to one so young. But there are a few pups that don't want 3 by that age and will refuse one of them. If you've one of those, then there's not a lot to be done about it, except go to 2 meals daily. But if the pup does still want it, then IMO he should be given it - 3 months is still just a baby, after all.

river's not quite four months old yet, and will only eat two meals a day. i still offer her three a day, but she always refuses one (which one varies). she still has a good energy level, and is still gaining weight, so i don't worry too much.

Thank god for boxerworld..
I was told by Breeder and Vet to feed my new bab twice a day.. I didnt take their advice and I feed 3 times.. I learned this from boxerworld last yr!! thx.
