Sansal is spot on. Something you may not have considered, MTboxer, is that there are thousands of people who consult the Boxer World forums for advice. Other inexperienced boxer owners may read this thread and the last thing we want is for others to swat and rub any dog's nose into its own excrement as a means of training the dog. IMHO, those methods are counterproductive and inhumane (see Sansal's explanation above). To the OP, be a little more vigilant and praise your puppy beyond belief with some treats she loves when she does her business in the proper location. She will very quickly associate the praise/treats with relieving herself where you want her to go. Skip the training pads and take her outside where you want her to do her business. This will speed up the training process. Good luck!
