3rd boxer ????

It's a bummer how working for a living gets in the way of us all having fun! I'm fed up to the back teeth of my work at the mo and suggested to my DH that I could stop working and take in unwanted boxers instead - he did agree but he wants to help too - so guess we need the the lotto win!

You could always get a rescue later on when your 2 are a bit older and it might still have a docked tail.

I'm so torn but think it's going to be a no. I think I feel sort of rushed to make a decision because of the docking ban coming in too. I personally like docked boxers so it's not like I could change my mind say this time next year :(

You could leave it till next year, and consider a rescue, that's already been docked..I'm with you Trace, I just love that little nub, that doesn't just wag, it turns into a blur as it goes at a million to the dozen. . You don't see many unlocked Boxers, I do think it will change the whole look of the breed....But having said that a Boxer is a Boxer, whatever..Imagine the damage that tail wagging could do though!

Just what I tought, the speed the little nub goes I cant imagin what it will do being full lengh.

I agree, I rather see the tails docked, its part of what you think of when you think of a boxer, but on the other hand its just for appearance which is a bit anal.

I had a white boy about 15 years ago who was undocked and to be honest with you I felt so sorry for him, in his 10 years he must have damaged his tail at least 6 times and needed to have the last 4" amputated.

But now we have 4 docked boys and girls with a possible 5th on the way......we said 2 would be no more work than 1, then it was "well 3 will just be as much work as 2" and so on, we usually take all 4 out together (chaos) or if there is just one of us then 2 at a time or one at a time for training.
