What sex would you get this time around?

If I did get another it would be another male, I wouldn't want to chance Lola & another female getting on.

Yes Louise, me & dh are getting on ok now. I know what you mean though about forcing yourself to go out, I was like that some mornings not wanting to go to work to put a happy face on when I really didn't feel like it.

And Carole you're right about Zebedee, he needs to have calmed down a bit I think, two of him and I'd go nuts .
There's also the tail docking ban that's put a spanner in the works as I want a docked one and from April no more docking. So really if I decide to have one then it's got to be before the ban is in place.

Hmmm, lot's of food for thought me thinks, besides I haven't even run it past mum yet anyway. A no from her and I wouldn't get one no matter what. She's the one here all day with them.

Never thought about the tail docking :( I probably would get a pup then before the ban is in force if I was looking.

I know how you feel about really wanting to do it, but being hesitant. I have 3 cats, and I really really want a boxer, but with the size of our house I don't think we can really manage a puppy right now. It doesn't keep me from wanting one though!!

I have 3 dogs and have even had DH agree to a foster 4th (didn't end up with the foster..he got a home ). Granted they aren't all boxers, but one is a Jack Russell...so that should make up for it a bit

Walks...I take all 3 in the morning. I walk in a look around my home though. Eagle does a 1/2 mile and I take him home and keep going with the other two. I walk with treats...ready to reinforce good behavior and correct bad.

Griffin came along as the 3rd because I wanted Eagle to help me train the pup, which he has. He's a terrific dog. I wouldn't trade them at all for anything.

I did have 3 dogs at home growing up though too...so it seems pretty natural. (and I lived without a backyard, so walking them was our only choice) Just remember that with 3 you will cross over into having a "pack" and being aware of pack order will be important to maintaining control etc.

Oh what a decision to have to make. I would love a little brother or sister for Bruno, But he is still a nightmare to walk.

I have 4 dogs and a cat! We have 3 boxers and a boston terrier. Adding the 3rd one has been a lot of work because I had forgotten what it was like to have a puppy in just 3.5 short years. Fortunately, we have a large backyard for the dogs, so we just have to take them for walks for exercise/training purposes. I'm lucky because I can walk all of mine together. It is nice when dh comes along but usually it all falls on my shoulders.

I will say that I wouldn't trade anything in the world for one of my babies but it has been a lot of work. Gypsy will turn 1 on Jan 1 and things are just now starting to settle back down in our household.

But at the same time very lucky you are allowed!!!

Now we are moving we are going to have a bigger garden, I have kinda hinted to Paul, but Elvis is such an odd thing I wonder what he would be like long term. I think I would have to get a girlie as remember when looking after Harley there was issues with who was boss!

Yeah as much as I'd love a third it wouldn't be practical (is a dog practical anyway )
I'm just worried I wouldn't have time for all three of them individually. At the moment it's no problem but with three and with me working etc I just don't know.
I'm so torn but think it's going to be a no. I think I feel sort of rushed to make a decision because of the docking ban coming in too. I personally like docked boxers so it's not like I could change my mind say this time next year :(
