Definitely two is better than one! Baxter came about 8 months after Mattisse and Mattisse showed him how to be a good dog (where to go to the bathroom, how to use the doggy door, how to get everything he wants, etc.) They definitely keep each other company during the day when my husband and I are at work. I don't feel as bad leaving when I know they have each other to cuddle. And-cuddle they do! They play together but yes, they do know how to relax and they can be just as calm together as when they are alone, which isn't very often. They've become like brothers and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Twice the fun

One boxer is great but two is twice the fun. And I agree that they wear each other out. Our 1st is a 2 yr old male and we recently got a female pup. Best thing I could have done for my boy. The are constant companions for each other and he is teaching her right from wrong. Training has been much easier. Partly because of Rocky's help and partly because we learned from our mistakes the first time. I love Rocky more because of how great he is with the puppy (Lucy) They have very different personalities which is fun too. Two boxers are more expensive than one but definately LESS work as they tend to excerise each other (unbelievable as it may sound I can't run as fast or as far as my boxers!!!)

We have 4 that keep the house a rockin'. Pooh is 7-Bownser is 3 and we have two of their joint production Dozer and Cissy-21 months. NEVER a dull moment around here,I can assure you. 2 girls-2 boys and all get along super.
Boxers are like potato chips-you can never have just one!! fiestaicon

Orion was a 2 y/o male when we broguth home Canela, a 3 m/o female that looks exactly like him. They accepted each other right away, although we were concerned about Orion being jealous. To our surprise he has never being that way, except when it comes to the door bell. He HAS to be the one closer to the door...Like everyone else said, they will play together, eat together, sleep together, and basically be best friends forever. Canela keeps chewing on his legs, pawns, face, ears and neck and he just lets her until he has enough and just walks away to a quiet place (under the bed, under the coffee table) until she finds him and it all just starts again.

It is my personal opinion that Boxers should not be alone, they should have a fur brother or sister to be with.
