2 year old flashy male need home in Minnesota

I have a 2 year old Male Flashy Boxer that needs a loving home. Sir Hunter Ali is a registered boxer, cropped ears, neutered and healty dog. Hunter is an awesom dog, we have 3 kids 2, 5, and 16 and hunter loves all the neighborhood kids. We also have a 2 year old female rat terrier and hunter also loves to play with all the neighborhood dogs.
My wife is ready to give both dogs to a shelter and so far I have convinced her not to. But sooner or later I will loose. We are putting our house for sale and just replaced all the carpet so time is running out.
We would prefer to have hunter and terrie (the rat terrier) go together but they don not have to.
Hunter has no behavorial problems, no health problems, and is the best dog in the world. I will be very sad when he leaves, but it is probably best for him and us, becasue with 3 kids we do not spend enough time with him.

Do a boxer rescue search in your area online I'm sure you'll find one..

Hi there Jeff,

Have you looked into your local Boxer Rescue group?
They are usually great because they screen prospective boxer parents very thoroughly.( home visits, vet checks, and at least 3 personal references). So that would sure ease your mind as to him going to a good home..My house is already full 2 resident boxers a male nearly 3 and female nearly 10 year old. A foster old boxer boy King who I'm guessing is 10-12 ( he'll be going to his forever home early Nov.) and a young male cat that's great at playing dodge the boxer..But I would love to see photos of him if its not to much trouble..Oh is he neutered or intact?

You are definitely in the right place to network for a good home for Hunter. If nothing else a great resource place with loads of info.

I have been unsuccessfull in contacting the local boxer rescue contact from the sticky above, and my messages are not being returned. The message I get also has a different name than that sticky shows.

Hunter is neutered. I will try and put a picture someplace if I can figure out how to.

If anyone has contacts in Minnesota please let me know.

He is absolutely gorgeous nice long cut ears. a real looker.
Check out boxertown.com I'm not sure if they're exclusive to the southern states or not..
The only problem with listing him with them ( boxertown.com) is you'll have to screen people yourself and that's not easy online or via a phone call. I know a guy here in NC that's looking for a companion male to keep his female company. He's to busy or just doesn't want be bothered to go through the local rescues because they really do scrutinize your everything . He doesn't have PC but maybe if distance isn't a huge issue you guys can talk on the phone. Let me know and I'll give him a call..
