Hi everyone,

We've got a male boxer & a male staffie/ cross keplie.
Now i know that male dogs like to mark their territory but the problem we're having is that they're both continually weeing where each one has been & now starting to do it inside our garage. Sometimes inside aswell.

Our male boxer also has quite a stench to his wee & our garage now smells like a huge toilet.
Does anyone have any good ideas, tips, tricks to help us stop them weeing in certain areas, especially inside & in the garage?

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Thanks

Are they neutered? If not, that can drastically improve the situation. Unfortunately, it's a lot like potty training all over again you really just have to watch them and not allow it to happen.

I just have to say--Staffie/Kelpie cross! What were you thinking!? Talk about a mix of high drive breeds. He must be a handful, but I bet he's cool to train.

HaHa! yes they are a handful, but Pat (staffie/ Kelpie) is very easy to train & yes he is neutered. My fiancé actually rescued him from the pound.
Tito (boxer) isn't neutered & is a little difficult to train, although he is one of the most easy going/ mellow boxers i've ever had or seen.
I bought some "Urine off" spray which is apparently a deterent, so i'll see how that goes.
Unfortunately they are on their own for quite a few hours during the day as we both work.

Coming from a boxer owner who's dog has had a chronic UTI for awhile now (keeps coming back and back- we finally have it now though) --- if the pee is stinky (more than usual) and cloudy it is possible your pup has a UTI. It's always an option to get the urine tested if other methods don't work..

Thanks for the advice, i was planning to get him checked at the vet just incase but had no idea that it could be UTI. So thankyou again.
