2 late for bath time?

hey all, i was just wondering... given that it is fall, would you say it is too late to give Cinnamon a bath? she is a puppy so the cold would affect her more, but i plan on drying her off and not letting her outside until she's completely dry. the reason i want to bathe her is because since i got her, shes had milk from her mom on her legs and she decided to take a roll in the baseball diamond (its all gravel) and when she stood up she was all grey. And shes a digger so she gets muddy quite frequently. And, is there a difference between puppy and adult dog shampoo?

Never to late for a bath as long as you dry her off real good. We give ours baths every two months all year round and we get a lot of cold weather, down to 20 below at times.

just my thoughts

My thoughts would be if you want her dry right away maybe take her to a good grooming salon, they usually use good shampoo's (atleast the ones around here do, that and a friend of mine bathes my dogs for me at her salon) I have never heard of puppy shampoo but that is not to say it doesn't exist. Will your pup let you use a blow dryer on her? (not hot obviously) I don't bathe my dogs myself, unless ofcourse it is really needed. I don't tend to bathe mine that much, if they get muddy paws or legs I use a warm damp towel and get the mud while it is still wet so they dont get too wet then I dry them off well with a towel. They usually take care of the finer details with a good lickin'

(side note: you had a dog named sheba? my family used to be good friends with someone from Ottawa area who had a dog named sheba.. petawawa area? maybe just a coincidence)

nope.. we live in ottawa..did have a shepherd named sheba though. I know another person who had a Shepherd named sheba.. and they moved from here to somewhere in the country..kemptville or pembroke.. could be petawawa.

forgot to post i just gave her a bath.. didnt appreciate it too much until i turned on the hand held shower thign and she started drinkin the water form it.. wouldnt let me use a blow dryer but i dried as much as i could with a towel and now shes wrapped up sleeping in a fleece blanket. we used to have puppy shampoo but i couldnt find it so i ended up using this other one i have for my shepherd that says its good for puppies so yeah
