2 Cats + 1 Boxer = ?

I have 4 cats. It took months but now the cats are out of hiding. Abbey my 8 year old now sleeps with him. But the others still smack him, which is hard to tell Oscar no because he thinks they are playing with him and smacks them back. But I always side with the cat, he is getting so big I don't want him to think it is acceptable to smack back. Poor Oscar he just can't win with the cats.

when we first got maxi we had 3 cats and they quickly let maxi know who was here first and maxi has been fasinated even up until now with them, she just loves them. when chloe came along the cats could have cared less and chloe will give chase once in a while but thats about it.

We had 2 adult cats when we brought our Daisy & Dixie home. They were 8 weeks old. We thought the cats would be alright with them since they were bigger than the puppies. Not so! Our male cat attacked them (probably to show whos the boss) and our female cat ran for cover! It's been almost a year since we've had them. Our 5 years old male cat made it obvious he wanted no part of the dogs and eventually ran away. Our 6 year old female cat still wont go anywhere near them. If they're not in their crates or out back, she won't even come in the house. We have to pick her up and carry her in. If she sees them, she runs for my desk or the kitchen table. And of course, she runs, they chase! Which doesn't help matters any. So I hope you have better luck with your cats and Boxer then we've had getting our cats and Boxers to get along.

Unfortunately, my kitties still HATE Morgan. We got Morgan at 8 1/2 weeks old in November.
My two kitties are appx. 8 and 7 years old. They LOVE Mom and Dad, but HATE Morgan.
Morgan only wants to play with them...they won't even walk through the living room without being on guard. And if Morgan even opens an eye to look at them they take off running scared!
I wish they would get along better.
They only come out from under the bed when Morgan isn't home OR when it's bedtime. Morgan sleeps next to the bed on the floor, so the kitties jump up to get love from us then.
So sad for us...will it ever get better?

I'll bet when the dog is older and doesn't want to play all the time the cats will be fine with Morgan. You've already made progress the kitties come out when the dog is sleeping so I'll bet they will be fine. As you see we have 3 dogs and 3 cats and 3 birds, the dogs and kitties get along fine..
