Boxer Insane
It’s one year today since we officially adopted Finnegan.
We don’t know Finnegan’s exact birthday, so I decided I would celebrate every year on the anniversary of his adoption. So this morning he got a load of new toys, he was having so much fun he didn’t know which one to play with
I can’t believe its been a year, in one way it seems longer as I can’t imagine my life without him. He has come a long way in that time, the first couple of months he was so quite and mellow, but since he has come out of his shell he is a playful goof ball. He is definitely the most affectionate dog I have ever had. Finnegan was terrified of traffic, as he was never leashed walked on the street before he came to us, he is still nervous and always will be, but he has really improved. He used to dig in his heels and refuse to move or else drag me in whatever direction he thought was home when he got spooked. He is still skittish but he doesn’t dig his heels in anymore and although he does still pull a bit when he gets nervous, its nothing compared to before, I just remind him to heel and he stops. He didn’t know any commands when he came to us now he knows loads, he has been through 2 levels of obedience training and we plan to do our CGC in the fall.
We are now even thinking of getting him a little sister.
Happy Anniversary Finnegan
