i actually also have a very similar issue. my dog knows not to go inside the house, and wont go when am around, she will sneak out and go when am not there, at the first instance she can, even though she can hold it for much longer than that. i take her outside multiple times a day and she goes every time. so i certainly know how frustrating it is, hopefully you will get good advice here, so that i can copy it. best of luck to you. if you figure or find something out, please let me know... i have also considered the attaching the lead to my body idea.
