I remember this feeling! When we got Milly I remember waking up at 5:00 in the morning to feed her and play with her until we got ready for work at 6:30 because we felt bad leaving her. That faded, since princess loves her sleep

We would put her in her crate and she would give us the eyes. Ryan and I had countless conversations on if we were leaving her home alone to much etc. We were lucky and we had someone let her out or I would come home from work on lunch (30 minutes one way) to say hi for a bit. We both leave the house at 7:00 am and aren't back until 5:00. You read things online and they do make you feel bad, however unless you are able to stay at home people can't have dogs if they are worried about them being home longer than 6 hours as recommended on most websites. We treat Milly like she is our baby and we spend a lot of time with her - Monday - Friday we spend at home because she is home alone the majority of the day. Saturday and Sunday we will play with her run her and than go out and usually only leave her for 3 hours. I started working from home once a week and would see what Milly would actually do - she eats, and than lays down on the couch and crashed out until about 10:00 than gets up to get some water, grabs a toy, chews and crashes again. As long as your fur child is loved, well taken care of and they are getting the excercise they need your fine. 11 hours is a lot but people have to work as well. Don't worry about it, just love that puppy up when you are home!
