1/2 brindle 1/2 fawn???

I went to see a puppy the other day that a BYB had. They described her a a brindle boxer. The mother was a fawn & she claimed the father was a brindle. The puppy looked like a fawn, except for some scattered, spaced out dark lines on her back that ran side to side in direction (but not all the way across & not symmetrical or anything). I have never seen this before & was curious if this is something that occurs usually or not & whether or not it means anything.

Sounds like a lightly marked brindle. Sometimes you will see a fawn with only one stripe. It is still a brindle. One stripe is all it takes.
