    Our baby Gunnar

I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. It is so hard to lose them when they are so young. It seem so unfair. We lost our Zeus when he was just 1 year, after struggling with various health issues. Know that you did absolutely everything you could, and...

    Rena lost her battle...

I am so very sorry about Rena. It is so hard to see our babies suffering. My heart goes out to you. Please know you did the right thing, and Rena is now at the bridge, running and playing with all our other boxer babies. Try to take comfort in all the wonderful memories that you have, and...

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know that the pain must be overwhelming. Its such a heartwrenching decision to make - and your being able to make such an unselfish decision shows how much you loved Riley. It is so hard to see our babies suffering, because all you want is for them to fight...

    Goodbye my sweet Gilroy

You are in our thoughts I am so very sorry for your loss. May you cherish the last few weeks you had together - that is so wonderful you had the chance at that time. I know how special it is to have one last Christmas together, as we had the same thing happen with our Zeus. I hope your...

    Zeus has left us.....

We lost our baby Zeus this morning. I still cannot quite grasp that he is gone. I just can't imagine life without him, and don't know how we're going to get through this. He was only 15 months old, but unfortunately had some major health problems. At 6 months old, we found out he had heart...

    Food up or down?

Our puppy Zeus is 5 and a half months old, and we feed him 3 times a day, one and a half cups each time. I think I read somewhere that they should eat 3 meals a day until at least 6 months of age.

Our Zeus is 5 and a half months and he weighs 50 lbs. I was also wondering if he's big for this age.......but it sounds like its normal for boys.

    Skin Tag???

With boxers, you never can be too cautious with growths and lumps. My boxer Stormy had some growths similar to how you described (like an extra nipple) and we had them removed a few years ago. We had the tissue biopsied, and one of them was a mast cell tumor. Luckily, we've had no problems...

Older boxer not adjusting to new puppy!

Jody, It has been over 3 months since I posted my message about the problem with Stormy and our new puppy Zeus. I am happy to report that things are good with the two of them now. It did take a good month or so before Stormy really started to accept Zeus, and learned to play with him. It...

Older boxer not adjusting to new puppy!

Three weeks ago we brought home our male boxer puppy, Zeus, who is now 11 weeks old. We also have a 7 year old female boxer named Stormy. She has always been the only dog, and is like our baby - very loved but also very spoiled. Needless to say, Stormy is still not adjusting to her new...

    Deramaxx problems

Stormy was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in her left hind leg last week, and the vet prescribed Deramaxx for her until we could schedule the surgery (which was set for next Thursday). She was fine the first 5 days, but on the sixth day she got very bad diarrhea, which lasted for 2...

What does a mast cell tumor LOOK LIKE?

Could anyone explain what a mast cell tumor looks like? Or are there varying types? I'm wondering if they are typically found/felt under the skin, or if they can appear as growths on top of the skin. My Stormy is 6 now, and she has had several small wart or blood blister looking growths for...
