    How to respond?

Well, both my babies are 2 1/2 years old. My boy is 80lbs, but my girl is 53lbs. They both eat the same amount! So, chalk it up to genetics! They both look good for their respective heights. ozzy, flashy brindle - waiting at the bridge zoom, flashy brindle - 05/16/04 enzo...

    of all things socks?

those smelly socks Ozzy used to be ready for the microsecond that my dh would sit down, and in that split second that his feet came off the ground Ozzy would grab hold and in one swift motion the sock was off!! He did it time and time again! He was on constant sock alert! We always found it...

    Do they EVER settle?

Non-stop my guys are 10 months and they play NON-STOP. Right now they are quietly chewing on their bones - but, alas this is only temporary... They take short chew breaks, and then it's right back to playing and rough-housing! Wouldn't trade it for the world though! (=

    Be On The Look Out

I feel physically sick when I hear about this sort of thing... It's sad that there are sick people like that everywhere, my FIL heard on the radio that a boxer was found in one of our parks. It's throat had been slit. They estimated it to be 1-2 years old. These criminals deserve...

    Is 2 better than one?

I would give 2 thumbs up to having two boxers. Ours are almost 7 months old, not littermates, but 4 days apart. They DO tire each other out. Night and day having two as opposed to one, as far as that goes. Our first boxer would just NEVER tire - didn't matter how much exercise and play we...

    VERY unexpected surprise

our pups are 6 months, and I'm already missing their coneheads and puppy breath...they grow so fast!!!

    walking two at a time?!

"I got tired of being a wishbone too..." LOL, yes! Thanks for your replies! I will continue walking them separately for now. I guess I was concerned that I might be reinforcing their behavior by walking them apart. Although, it does make sense that they need to learn to mind their...

    walking two at a time?!

I did a search on this topic and didn't come up with anything, so I apologize if this has come up before... We have two nearly 6 month old pups. I have tried walking them together, but they try to eat each other! They get very upset with each other to the point of an all-out dog fight...

    Puppy from Pet store

rsjenni, I wouldn't even take your pup to the park until all the vaccinations are complete. Our vet recommended that our pups be confined to our yard until their shots were finished. Some diseases like parvo are so easy to get. A lady I met at puppy class almost lost her pup to parvo -...

    I was boxer stalked :-)

We are major boxer stalkers too! We've also been boxer stalked more times than I can count. The latest incident happened this past weekend. We were visiting my parents (a 4 hour drive), and within the hour of our arrival the next door neighbour rings the doorbell asking to see our boxer...

    Cold weather boxers

brrrr It gets down to -30 C quite regularly through our winter. Ozzy hated the cold. He would go out to do his business and punch the kitchen door frantically if you didn't let him in quickly enough. Some days he'd come in the house crying because his feet were SOOO cold. Needless to say...

    My husband the boxer stalker

We're official boxer-stalkers too! I always have the boxer radar on! One day driving home from work I saw this beautiful boxer blocks and blocks away, I was thinking to myself how it always makes my day to see other boxers...until, I got closer and saw my husband at the end of the leash...

    What's your combo?!

My vote is male/female. We have this combination, and it seems to be working. Both our dogs are still pups, but they have really bonded with each other. They miss each other terribly when they're separated! I am surprised by how rough they play sometimes, but neither one seems too...

    Halloween costumes

Last year Ozzy was dressed up in a devil costume. It stayed on for less than 5 minutes before he managed to get it off and destroy it!!! But we thought nothing else would fit him, I mean what else would the "prince of darkness" wear? Funny that this thread showed up today, because DH and...

Not happy with Gods little creatures

So far our wildlife has been limited to magpies. Zoom, even at 10 wks, would go nuts chasing them out of our yard. She was the cutest little pup, and yet she looked so MADDD! I think she's the only reason my strawberries survived!
