That's awesome Samson!! Zen is a bit older now so he is much more responsible than when he was a younger boy. DJ tried to run up our Christmas tree when he was a kitten and got all tangled up (Zen was chasing him).

It's just that Boxers have some sort of frown, they aren't all smiley looking like Staffys. I have friends that think Zen looks mean but I just think he looks cute;)
Zen head tilts when I go through my ringtones on my mobile. Then he starts howling like a wolf, neck fully stretched upwards, jowls all puckered up. He also goes nuts when my husband calls home and I put him on speaker phone.
We tried hiding Zen once. My husband tried to get Zen to hide under our bed but just as I walked past it looking for him he crawled out! It's much better when we hide or hide something of his.
I have just finished a game of "Hide and Seek" which Zen absolutely loves. I make him sit and stay and then I go find a hiding place somewhere in the house. Once I have found a spot I call out "Zen! Find Mummy!". He really has a great time trying to find me. After he finds me he does mad kidney...
Once when Zen was a puppy and I took him outside to "go toilet" I crouched down on the ground and saw the world at his height-very daunting for a little puppy! It may all be abit too much for him and may need your loving guidance and patience for a while.
I absolutly love hearing stories like that. I truly believe that dogs are aware who is for them and who isn't. He was waiting for you all along and that is a wonderful thing.
Our 5 1/2 year old boxer Zen and one of our cats, DJ, are only months a part in age and they grew up together. They aren't best mates but they acknowledge each other as family members and Zen reluctantly shares his large doggie bed with DJ sometimes (it's very comfy). But with my other cat...
Recently Zen was complaining of pain in his right front leg.We took him to our vet who rigorously tested his leg out and came to the conclusion that it was a muscle problem that we needed to deal with.
He said that Zen was a very muscley and toned dog that was similarly built like a race...
