Looking for boxer rescue in NE Ohio for our pup

Financially, we have few options. But thanks for mentioning a few. We may be able to place him with my brother-in-law, who just loves Hooligan, and if that works out, we'll still be able to see him all the time. But if not, we'll have to figure out something else.

Looking for boxer rescue in NE Ohio for our pup

I have a 9 month old male Boxer, and I'm looking for a Boxer rescue organization in the northeast ohio area. Our family situation has changed dramatically since we got our pup 7 months ago, and we may have to give him up. I feel like a failure, our kids will be devastated, and our pup will miss...

I am at the end of my rope...

Our buddy Hooligan is 6 months old, and as soon as the snow got deep and the temp went below zero, he turned into a big baby and started going potty inside. Or he would run out to pee and then come in and poop on the floor. It was the worst for us, but I guess I can't blame him! When he was...

    No Potty Signal

Thanks, phew. I just needed to know if that's normal, and apparently it is. We'll keep working with him! Thanks!

    No Potty Signal

I have a 6 month old boxer male, Hooligan. Since the day we got him, we have taken him outside to go potty through one door, on a pretty predictable schedule. Our problem now is, when we don't take him out on schedule, he just pees wherever he pleases. (inside) He doesn't go to the door, he...

    Stop Biting Me!

My kids are 6 and 4, and I babysit a 1 year old on Thursdays. We're trying to work with them too, but there's not much I can do with the one year old except stand in as an eternal guard and referee! Ah, well, I know we'll get through this. BTW- your fawn pup looks a lot like our Hooligan...

    Can I trust the Vet????

Before we picked up Hooligan last week, I thought I did my homework on the food subject. I researched, took into consideration the recommendations from people on this forum, I read and understand how to evaluate dog food and it's ingredients, I chose Canidae to start with. BUT...When I went...

    Stop Biting Me!

We have had a wonderful first week with our new baby, Hooligan. He is amost 9 weeks old. I know that nipping is par for the course, but in the last few days he has had "crazy hour" where he goes insane biting the kids and our feet and anything he can get to. If he nips my clothes I distract...

    Dog Treats- where to begin?

I'm looking for a healthy treat I can use esp for training my pup. I went to the store today and bought an organic "homemade" brand that has all natural ingredients- it looks like I coud've baked them at home. But oatmeal is the first ingredient. Do the rules that apply for choosing dog food...

    BLUE puppy formula- any experience?

I can't find Canidae at our local pet supply stores. I did come across "BLUE puppy formula". Seems to be a good blend. I have read the dog food analysis page and BLUE seemed to measure up. The protein ration is 24%. Any experience with BLUE formula? Or tips on where to find Canidae?
