What is your boxer scared of?

The onlh thing I've notice w/ Nikki (7 months old) is that she's afraid of loud noises. When she's in the back yard and the neighbour next door is banging away on something she runs right for the doors to get in the house. lol. but otherwise she's so bravely, lol... Alicia & Nikki

    miniature boxers....oh my...

Lack of knowledge I think the problem w/ many dog owners is that they don't educate themselves as to what kind of dog they have (even if its a mutt) or other breeds that are out there. There was a posting on this website a while back about people mistaking boxers for pit bulls...think before...

    Running w/ your dog

I want to thank you all for all our advice. Yes we have started off really slow, probably b/c of me, i'm the slow one not her, lol. I've only gone jogging for 30 minutes each time and its really slow b/c my legs are killing me. I find that after I take her for a run or a good play in the park...

When do puppy's stop being wimps?

I think it all depends on the dog... some dogs don't grow out of it and with some you just wake up one day and the wimpyness is gone. I wouldn't worry to much, like you said she's a puppy and she'll get used to the noise and things that scare her. Alicia & Nikki

When do puppy's stop being wimps?

What your little girl is lacking is self-confidence, we have a 3-year-old Doberman and she’s still scared of garbage cans, rocks, etc... What I’ve been doing is letting her smell the objects that she seems to be afraid off and the next time she walks by them she doesn’t even flitch. Take baby...

I almost wish I never read the article, it was terrible, the simple fact that there are people like that in the world makes me sick. Alicia & Nikki

    Canidae dog food its amazing

I've recently switched both my dogs to Canidae dog food and OMG I was amazed at the results. At first I was very skeptical about switching the dogs to a new brand, I used to feed them Nutrients, but owning a Doberman and a Boxer I’ve noticed how soft and smooth their fur, esp. on the boxer. I...

    Running w/ your dog

I've just recently started jogging (again) and this time I'm bring along my 3 year old dog, during the winter “we” put on some pounds, lol. I run for one minute and walk for one minute so I know that I’m not tiring the dog out, my concern is that before we go for our run I stretch but the...

Boxer & Doberman Hi, I own a 3 year old, female Doberman and a 7 month old, female Boxer and yes they have their fights, esp. when it comes to certain toys, but they have to fight it out to see who the "boss" is. I still don't know and i don't think they do either, they play all the time and...
