    BARF guilt?

Hello everyone. Today is Day 3 of BARF, and Carli is pretty sickly. For the past 3 days, she's had 1 1/2 chicken thighs, and last night I gave her some plain yogurt to hopefully calm her stomach a little. She's still got a bit of an appetite, but not as ravenous as day 1 and day 2. My main...

    Barf in NYC

Website Thanks for the "a place for paws website!". It looks like the resources quoted most for BARF are much cheaper than what I've found elsewhere - sometimes as much as $40. Good information. Thanks!

    Chicken thighs?

We had our first BARF meal..... Just fed Carli her first BARF meal. What a big step! She loved the chicken thighs - I gave her about 1 and 1/2 to start off with. I'm sure I could have fed her more (the thighs are small), but being unsure of this, I wanted to start off slow. Was a little weary...

    Chicken thighs?

Re: Chicken Thighs So...since I don't have my book, I'm going to start Carli on thighs today. She's only 34 pounds (don't freak out - just the runt of a litter!). From what I've read on other sites, 3% of body weight should be fed daily? So - I get around 1 pound of meat - that hardly seems...

She's run out of kibble (today) and I've been researching BARF. I don't have my book yet, but from what I've read, the 1st couple of...

    Hello from Missouri

Just here to introduce myself and my 4 year old rescue girl Carli. We love her very much, and I've turned my parents and my brother on to boxers too. I guess you could say they "run in the family". Good to be here and I hope to share/glean some good information.

    Stomach problems

My 4 year old Carli is in the same boat - she has very frequent stools, almost 8 to 15 times per day, never solid. She is a whole 33 pounds - it's very difficult to put weight on her, and she's not super skinny - just small - looks around 4 months old, not four years old! She can't ever hold it...
