    Thanks for all the input, everyone. Area rugs are not really an option as it's a pretty large space. I guess we'll wait it out and see if he figures it out while at the same time encouraging him to play elsewhere.

    Hey BW, Our new pup, Captain, keeps having his rear legs slide out on our tile floors because his feet simply don't grip. It seems like his hips hit the tile pretty hard. Also, he sometimes does the boxer hop and has his front legs slide out upon landing leading to his jaw hitting the floor...
