I am having the same problems with my pup and 2 yr old and a firm no or discouragement is not doing the trick.

You can read My post "Biting Greta" under boxers and children. My son is also 2 but maybe it will make a difference since you are adopting a adult not a pup. Alot of other boxer owners have great child -dog relationships I don't know what our problem is.Good luck!
