I've never dealt with this problem myself, but I know my mother-in-law has always given her dogs hamburger and rice when they get the runs. I myself am always really hesitant to give Willie people-food because I never know how his belly might react. Good luck!

I second this! We got Willie very unexpectedly on a Sunday, and both had to go to work the next day (I know, poor guy being alone in a new house!) We left him the garage the first day-one puddle, and that's it. The second day, he got free rein of the house and....no problems! I was shocked...

Thanks for the advice. On our walk earlier this evening, we practiced a lot of sitting and staying. My thought was that learning to obey commands he knows, even with so many distractions, might help a little bit. We are definitely going to practice, "Come here Willie!" Thanks again.
