We have had to give Jasmine (2.5 yrs old) benadryl and when we did it was in the pill form. That is what my vet recommended. If I remember correctly we gave her one 25mg pill every 6 hours. I am not certain because it was quite some time ago.

I have one too! Last Christmas my husband bought me one and put a red bow around it and put it under the tree for me Christmas morning. It was too cute.:)

There is a slight difference in the way my girls butts look. Jasmine is 2.5 years old and has a small tight rectum whereas Bailey who is going to be 9 in May is not as tight. It is larger and saggy. I would have a vet you trust check everything out to be sure. :)
