Eosinophilic Bronchopneumopathy (EBP)-any info or experience

I volunteer for a boxer rescue and one of our adopted boxers has possibly been diagnosed with this, and it is apparently very rare. We are looking for any information the awesome community of Boxerworld folks may have - experience, prognosis, anything would be helpful. Thanks!

    Chewing on wood

Toby & Lucy use the firewood for chew sticks as well....makes a big mess, usually right after I finish vacuuming - constantly taking them away and redirecting with a kong.

    Pottying in the rain??!!

Even at 12 y/o Tenaia hated the rain! She would glare at me & simply stop & pee on the top step outside the door & run back in to rub what little moisture she had onto the sofa! I miss her soooo much ='(

two females random vicious fights HELP!!

My 2 would go at it on occasion, though there was always a subtle cue it was coming, so I was able to step in and separate them before it got ugly...generally a minute change in posturing or the way they would look at each other - and usually food, or the mere smell of an incompletely cleaned up...

    Confused and looking for answers

While I am glad you are getting some answers, I am sorry to hear it isn't better news for Louie. On the up-side....my sister had a dog with lymphoma (not a boxer) and they opted for chemo...Lacey did very well for several years - she was 12 1/2 when she left my sister for the bridge. Sending...

    Seizures

Sending thoughts and prayers your way for Harley & your family.... My Tess started having seizures when she was about 11. She was put on phenobarbitol & the seizures were few and far between. Since she was having far more good days than bad, we spent as much time with her as possible...

Layla is attached to me more than husband.

We have had Lucy for about 4 1/2 months now. She wouldn't go near my DH at all in the beginning. After a few weeks, she finally started laying near him on the bed in the evening. & would allow him to pet her while we watched tv. She also started playing with him, but on her terms. Now she will...

Rescued boxer won't listen to male!

OMG...how heartbeaking! I am so sorry for your loss ='( We have a year old boy we rescued recently as well & he ran out the front door a few nights ago...scared me to death! He wouldn't come when called either, but fortunately he only ran 2 houses over & I was able to retrieve him while he was...

    Hi Everyone

Hmmm...maybe you can try teaching him some "high chair" games like you might with a child? Just a thought, but boxers are smart.......maybe get him to learn mommmy/daddy's nose, ears, etc (though at 70 lbs you may get a black eye if he paw points too hard lol)...play kissing games - peek-a-boo...

    K9 Idiopathic Hepatitis anyone?

Important note, but missed out on edit timing... I forgot to mention, in April, her pre-surgical full blown lab panels showed no abnormalities or elevations whatsoever (except her thyroid, which was expected as she had been dosed that morning just before going to the vet).

    Confused and looking for answers

Given what I just went throiugh, and Tenaia started with the same incontinence issues as well as going on and off food (after a short while she started eating like she was being starved & started stealing from the others if they walked away from their dishes), I would definitely have the liver...

    K9 Idiopathic Hepatitis anyone?

Some info on the disease itself... I still can't do this without a flood of tears, but since this site is here to help the boxer community with the many things related to our incredibly wonderful and irreplaceable friends, i feel compelled to at least try to put some info on Tenaia's disease...

Quality of Life - when is enough, enough?

I don't know if you have thought of this yet, but if immediate financial needs are a concern for testing, Care Credit offers interest free financing for veterinary needs. Depending on the cost, terms for no interest are 3, 6 and 12 months - sometimes I think even longer. It has come in very...

    Newbie

Welcome! I am so sorry for your losses. Having just lost my oldest and most dear friend in the universe to idiopathic hepatitis, I have a huge hole in my soul...I lost my other girl just over 5 years ago now and I still breakdown in tears over her on occasion. I can't even imagine losing 2...
