    peeing desctructo boy

as it turns out that he may have something going on. Dylan stepped in his sample and made it unsterile--silly kid. Anyway, he did have some cells in the sample that should not have come from his foot or the dirt. So, he is on antibiotics...let's hope that is it--poor baby

    peeing desctructo boy

as much as I think it is behavior, I would hate for the baby to be having troubles. I made a vet appt for this afternoon. I'll keep you posted (part of me hopes it is UTI--much easier fix) But, he still needs the obedience training. Arika

    peeing desctructo boy

Okay, I am sure this probably belongs on the behavior page but I don't know. I have a fairly new adopted boxer named Dylan. I have had him since August with no problems. However, within the last few days he has been peeing in the house. I do not suspect a UTI as he appears to be lifting his...

Seeking info from Ivermectin users for Demodectic mange

demodex I hate demodex. If you do a forum search you'll find some of my history with Mia. Ivermectin was about the only thing that worked. I suppose the Mitaban dips did kill the mites--but only temporarily and it weakened Mia's immune system in the process--which is counterproductive. She...

    moving cats

I've heard of that trick before. But, my kitties are indoor guys. I think they'll be okay--just angry with me for a bit. But, they'll have lots of exploring to do once I move in. I plan on building them a cat tree in front of a window. That should be fun for them.

    moving cats

moving Two summers ago, I moved them from Albuquerque to Kirksville, MO. They were NOT happy during the ride at all. Now, I'm moving an even further distance. However, I'm stopping twice at family member's houses where they can at least have a room for themselves outside the kennel. Cats...

    moving cats

Does anyone have any suggestions about moving cats? I am moving from Missouri to Arizona in about a month. I have moved them before and used some medication but I think it made them worse--it made them disoriented and grouchy. Flying them out is really not an option. So, I'm left with the...

    foaming at the mouth

froth My pooch often froths when she is outside...especially when playing hard. She gets all excited and begins to froth. I think her favorite is to wait until she gets inside to shake it off  If she gets a bit too warm and waits too long to get a drink, she froths. Or if she...

    Missing in Albuquerque

no collar Actually no she didn't have her collar. My brother thought that was really strange. She is outside for most of the day and has had that routine for many months. So, they don't think she is a fence jumper (not to mention that they have a very tall fence). But, she isn't a purebred...

    Missing in Albuquerque

My brother's dog Sable has been missing since this afternoon sometime. She is a fawn mastiff-boxer mix with natural ears and black mask. She has a flashy chest. She disappeared from their home on the west side of Albuquerque, near Central. She is very sweet, altered, and should be wearing a...

    muscle meat

It is cold...but so are her other meals. Perhaps I'll try another ground meat. Nothing else that she eats is a beef product...so that might be the issue. Thanks. Arika

    muscle meat

I follow Susan K. Johnson's book on raw diet. However, I have always had some trouble with the muscle meal (I do lean hamburger). It seems that Mia will throw it up. I will give it to her in spoonfuls to make sure she eats it slower (she tends to scarf her food). That seems to help but it...

    post hip surgery

My friend's dog, Sierra, is going in for TPO next week to treat hip dysplasia. 4weeks later, Sierra goes back in to have the same surgery on the other hip. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any products that they found helpful for recovery. Will she need her food and water bowls raised...
