So...Harley bolted out the door Friday night and went after a standard poodle. We knew she had issue with other dogs sometimes if they tried to jump in her face, but never did we know she would go out of her way to try to beef with one....sad enough to say...Harley lost...the poodle bit her real...

First she had a UTI a couple of weeks ago...started atopica is doing fantastic. Now all of a sudden she is leaking???? Incontinence maybe? Gotta get this checked out....

Her energy is up now by like 150% and is nuts lol. She went from being out of breath and strain on her heart just from walking down the block, to now doing a walk up to two miles or a straight rollar blade run for one block. :)

We did discuss this with our vet, but she felt that the 'weight issues' was not part of Harley's allergy issues, only because we knew that she gained weight because of the italian food she was eating, and just a change of diet and actual excersize she lost the weight in less then 3 months to her...

Okay let me fill you in more. It has taken 2 years of testing on Harley to get diagnosed. She has had a full thyroid panel as well as skin tests (poor girl). She is allergic to carrots, oats, polle, grass, and dust mites. She is currently (for her weight) on Science Diet RD (which I hate...

those actually are not markings. that's her skin bec all her fur fell out from exreme allergies. she has atopic dermatitis.

Has anyone else had a dog or boxer been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis? And if so, what medications do you use and does it help? Does your dog itch itself and lick itself so much that it nearly bites the pads of his/her off, to the point of bleeding? Harley is on atopica which does appear...

beautiful. Funny the only thing LAB I see is the tail, muzzle and fur. The rest of his body and forehead are boxer.

It has happened with both my husband and myself. I am not tense over it, I have trained dogs over the years placing in obedience courses, just have never dealt with this before. Thanks!
