This is soooo cute! How did you come up with his name??

Trooper Thorn is the name of a John Wayne Charachter in my husbands' favorite movie, "The Quiet Man". His name is Sean Thornton, and he is returning to Ireland to claim his heritage, but he has a dark secret, he used to be a boxer in America and he boxed under the name... Trooper Thorn

BeBop was supposed to be named "Dannaher", which is Trooper Thorns' opponent. But, we had some friends over for a "naming party" and one friend (in jest) suggested "Boo Boo Angel Precious". I wrote it on the list and abbreviated it to BBAP. We both like jazz & that reminded me of BeBop. Even on that very first day, he had such an independant personality, that one of my friends said "He's just BeBopping along" and we knew we had our new name.

Funny Story: My DH was in a car accident on the freeway a few years ago (everyone ends up okay, don't worry). Trooper Thorn was in the back seat and got scared and jumped out of the passenger window and ran across 4 lanes of a freeway. A woman saw him running in the fast lane, pulled over and he (thank goodness) ran right to her. She called our number on his licence and said "I think Trooper Thorn Thinks he's a State Trooper"! We luckily luckily got him back with out any injury. I'll always be so grateful to that lady!
