My two are the same way. One will submit herself to be led into the pool, but sits on the steps the whole time with this look on her face that says, "I'm just tolerating this!"

We would take Enzo to the dog park when he was about 5 months and after a couple times he would follow some of the other dogs into the lake. He loves playing in the water with the other dogs but he just isn't a very good swimmer. He will slap the water and sometimes paddle for 20 seconds without moving. Not all dogs are natural swimmers I guess. So cute though!
