fungi(ringworm??)

is it serious?(there is a thread)
Our Madi has the same thing on her front left elbow and on two other spots on her right and left side. It is a fungus, similiar to athletes feet. It can spread from dog to dog or if you has young children be careful with the amount of contact, because it can spread to young ones. The best way to treat it: take your dog to the Vet or just ask for KetoChlor. It's a medicated shampoo for dogs and cats. It is intended for antifungal/antibacterial management of skin conditions and it is somewhat common in boxers. We shampoo'd our dog two to three times per week for a couple weeks, and I have also applied the shampoo full strength right to the visible spot that exists. After about 4 weeks, our dogs fur/hair finally started growing back. So, don't despair....your dogs coat WILL eventually return back to normal! Hope all goes well and take care!
