I feel so bad for your pup. How old and how do they get demodex? I've never heard of something like that. Of course I'm new to having a pup so I need all the info I can get. Lots of love from me, Brendi, and Rex
Usually they will get it around 3-4 mths. Its aquired from the Mom. It may start out like little bumps on the head or neck. Also watch for a red tint...hence the name "red mange". Hair loss is also something to watch for. Any itchyness, take them in for a scrape. Its best to catch it early.
She is 150% better. She is back to barking and playing and telling lies to go outside to play. She is also starting to regrow hair on her head. If you look into the light you can see the little hairs coming back in. Also, where her mask is, it looks like she was plucked and its growing back. It has been an ordeal. I really sympathize with anyone that goes through this with their baby.
The kids have been great with her. She has had a few problems trying to love them to death and doesnt like to obey them, but were working on that. Mainly its with the youngest daughter. Shotze wants to play rough with her and I have to stop her. I have started getting them to help with her training and am trying to make sure she knows they are higher in the pack order than she is. She is still just a puppy at 4 months and still has alot to learn....but its been great. She loves them to death.
