Yes and you don't have to change the batteries very often. We've had it a month and a half now and have only changed the batteries once (cause the batteries that were in there when we bought it were already nearly depleted). It really is a cool toy, and one that will last a while as long as your Boxer isn't a real strong chewer and doesn't destroy the knobs hehe.
