This taping method I'm using, now revised slightly since this pic was taken, doesn't require the entire ear to be encased w/ tape and nothing in the ear canal.
It allows for the air circulation and is easier to maintain since it is taped just at the base and the tips. There is also a support glued into the inside of his ear w/ a natural adhesive called "Skin Bond".
Have a look at this website. It gives you an idea as to how it's done however my method is a little different but is base on the same principles. http://www.cinemaboxers.com/tutorials/ears/
Since you are in Vancouver, BC, we were curious as to who did your crop. We live in the Seattle area and traveled to Surrey, BC to get our girl done. Wondering if it's the same guy. Our crop vet up there does a wonderful job, and your beautiful ears look like his work.
Yes. Dr. Douglas. He is an amazing and talented vet. Us in the area should feel honored to have such a wonderful person cropping our dogs. I know breeders here in the states come from as far as Northern California to have him crop their boxers.
