What also irritated me about my dog park incident was that the other 4 people sided with this guy. It was like he thought he was the Dog Park Nazi or something. I think I was partly in shock that someone at a dog park would kick a dog. Most of my tirade to that guy and the others was asking them to never, ever kick a dog or any animal for that matter. I didn't even get a chance to explain that clearly he, and the others, don't have a clue about animal behavior. Boxers are vocal/physical which I realize frightens some people sometimes and/or makes them think there is an actual fight going on.
Oh I could have went off on him/them about the dog park infractions they were making, but really knew better not to even try to reason with idiots. I wanted my dog away from them pronto! After I was home, my anger rose and was grateful that I wasn't carrying a gun in my car. Not that I would have done anything like that, but how I felt at the time, I can see how things like that go awry. Had this happened prior to me being on medication, it would have gotten very ugly. Wouldn't matter how short I was, trust me!
I truly feel sorry for this guy's dog. When he said "that's my dog", I almost replied "my sympathies to the dog".
I don't really feel the need to bring Buster to the dog park, as we have 3 others at home to keep him company. Just thought it might be fun for him, especially if there were other boxers there.
I'm starting to get all worked up again just writing about this.
