Pericardial Effusion

My eight and one half year old female (spayed) has been diagnosed as having a pericardal effusion and a possable chemodictoma (sp?) solutions offered were an operation, very intrusive, and radiation therapy (expensive)any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful thanks Billy C

My heart goes out to you and your girl. Unfortunately, I don't have any information for you on this condition. I would suggest doing a search on the internet for information. I would also suggest tracking down a veterinary cardiologist for a second opinion. Good Luck. Please keep us posted.
