I am planning to enroll Jake in obedience school and am looking into different facilities. Have any of you tried Best Friends? If so, what did you think? Also, does anyone have a trainer in Connecticut that they can reccommend? Thanks!

I"m guessing you are reffering to "Mans best friend?" You should go check out the facilities yourself before hand. Meet the handler, maybe sit in on a class/session. The ones that we have found work best, are the classes that YOU are involved in. Don't use one of those, drop your dog off and pick him up in six weeks classes. Instead, go to a GROUP class. Here, they'll learn much more than just obedience....they'll also learn socialization, a very important factor in having a good dog. You vets office should have some local class schedules and fees readaly available.
Hope this helped

Boxer Buddy
I found out where to take my boy from a rescue group in my area! Ask around and get recommendations from other dog people especially boxer lovers. I've had a trainer that had never delt with boxers and felt she did not give good advise since I had trained a boxer before. (She had no idea how strong their necks and upper bodies are)

I don't know how far you are from White Plains NY, but I took Nikita to the White Plains School of Animal Training and it was great.
