I would love to get a small pool for Cherokee. Now I'm the type of person who doesn't like clutter. Less is better. i have a patio but not a huge backyard so i wouldn't want anything permanent. I was wondering if any of you have tried the inflatable pools with your babies or is it not even worth it. I just don't want to see the pool when it's not in use. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Seems to me with that sort of pool the nails of your baby would poke holes in it and woosh all goes that air.I have thought of getting maxiene a kiddie pool but like you I hate clutter and really dread trying to hide the darn thing when not in use.She loves water though. She goes to a near by creek and plays in it and comes home all muddy and smelly smashicon so I guess it is either the mudd(yuck) or the pool for me. hahahahah

That's exactly what I was thinking about the mails. I guess I was hoping someone out there would say that they have one and it works fine or they found one that is more durable or something like that. In other words wishfull thinking.:D

How about one of those blue plastic kiddie pools? After he's done, you can just dump out the water and sit it up against the house or garage or something.

It would work but I'd have to see it and I just can't have that. I am so crazy about things not having a place to go in. I know it's crazy but I'm crazy like that. Thanks for the suggestion though. maybe I can convince someone else to get one and let me borrow it. LOL:D

We also use a hard plastic kiddie pool. My dogs just use it as a big drinking bowl.

I would think the inflatable pool would certainly take care of your not being able to see it. After the first use, I would imagine that the nails will have it soo punctured it would go into the garbage instead of storage! (Disposable Pool! :) )
When my niece was small we used the plastic pool, and put it up in the rafters of the shed when she wasn't here. Storing it this way kept it out of sight, but allowed easy access for when it was needed. I do believe plastic for boxers is the only way to go.

dpasto: LOL:D

yes definitely a disposable pool and that's so not worth it. I guess I'm out of luck. I don't have much storage in my new place. Were I lived I at least had a garage so that would have worked but not here. I'm having a little trouble with viewing the bikes and am trying to adjust to that since before they were kept in the garage. We have 4. We have one outside which is fine because we have a bike rack outside we share. One in the closet because it's Jason's and small enough. Then there's mine and my husbands which we're thinking of getting hooks for to hang upside down in the patio. That is going to drive me crazy but I don't have a choice. The pool will just ad to the clutter. Who knows maybe my neighbor might be interested. Or I'll just take her to the beach. Thanks guys.

the hard plastic pool is the only way to go.....when you guys (chero) is done using it you can put it up sideways against the wall in your patio.....i must say its VERY cute to see them play in a little pool...>Rayna has a BLAST our next door neihbor purchase one for her pug and Ranya and Zed play in it....its so funny

I have an inflatable pool for my 2 yr old son, that Zeus thinks belongs to him as well. Anyway, it's the type that has 3 inflatable levels. I think Zeus' nails popped the upper level, but it still works. He doesn't like it much when it has water in it, but when it's empty, he loves to jump in it and romp around with his toys (like a play-pen...goofy dog!). So far, even with him playing rough in it, it hasn't completely deflated. As for storing it, I don't deflate it when it's not in use, instead I put it in our bigger pool.

If I were buying a pool for Zeus, I wouldn't get him the inflatable. I'd definitely go with the plastic kiddie pool, and I'd store it in the shed or garage where it wouldn't get in the way. ;)
