I was wondering if anyone has had luck using holistic flea and tick sprays? I have used Frontline in the past, but my last boxer died of an aggresive central nervous system cancer and by the time she showed signs and was brought to the hospital she only had a week left :-( I always felt that it was wrong to put the Frontline on but I didn't know of any alternatives. I don't know whether or not the Frontline had anything to do with her cancer as I know boxers are unfortunately much more prone to cancer. I've found that most people believe Frontline is perfectly safe, but I don't see how something that poisons/kills fleas and tick that have bitten your dog can be safe! If anyone has tried a more holistic approach that has worked please let me know. I will be getting a new boxer puppy the first week in March and I found a holistic/conventional vet that he will be seeing. I know they offer a spray called Omni Spray so any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I'm really not sure, except I know how Frontline affected my other 3 dogs (not Boxers)...it made them queasy for a few days after application. Plus, one of them got Lyme Disease, in spite of using it, (and she went to the Rainbow Bridge within a year of her diagnosis).

I'm thinking of using something else for Rusty, expecially for ticks which are aplenty in my neck-of-the-woods...
