First vet visit

Hi,

We're picking up our puppy in a couple of weeks, I read that you should go to the vets straight from the breeder to get first injection and a general check up, but it seems a bit much for the little thing on the first time it leaves it's home! Is it better to giver her a couple of days with us?

It's gonna be your call personally I don't see the harm and from what I Understand, many breeders require a vet visit within 24/72 hours for any health warranty to be in effect.

I would agree it protects everybody. If something is medically wrong with the puppy you will know and can discuss it with the breeder asap. Also worms can be a health risk to you as well as any other pets in the house. So I would personally want a check up asap. Maybe not straight from the breeders house. But most definitely the next day.
