Is it not too wet there? I would love to go but it has been rainy (and you know what that means...muddy!) over here....

the park was GREAT on this monday!!! not muddy at all, Snatch enjoyed like a puppy! :D lots of young boxer to jump around appicon
the weather was so so nice 79F
but..... a little thing happened.... :mad:
a guy was there with a 10 days old puppy and a old man (who was totally right and who volunteers on some rescue) asked the owner if they had a rabbies tag....
because dogs are not allowed before 4 months old for the security (health) of the other dog. puppies spreads puppy disease.. (that's how snatch got kennel cough at 7 month old because of a really young puppy at the dog park)
anyway... the owner of the puppy was really rude (telling the old man to go ***** and to go play bingo ) :eek: i was shocked. nobody stood up with the old man (i would have.. but being a french girl doesn't help in front of a big rude american guy
). The old man finally said he would call the cops so the guy has $500 fine for not having a rabies tag for his puppy..
the guy finally left with his puppy....
I think this is right. i've seen puppies which are way too young at the park.... and that's not right.. same thing for dogs with no rabbies tag...
i think they should control more the entrance at the dog park.
i'm sure many people wouldn't mind working for the city of plano as "park control"

What an awful guy! That is so sad that he was so rude to the old man. :( Was it by any chance a pit bull puppy? We have had trouble the last 2 times we've been out there with a young pit bull. I can't remember if he has a collar with a rabies tag or not. Anyway, that is too bad. The old guy was right though, puppies younger than 4 months shouldn't be out there and a dog without its shots certainly shouldn't be!
I would love to go to the park tomorrow evening. Not sure if we will make it or not though. Let me know if anyone is up for a Wednesday evening play date. I know it is tough for you to get there on a week day , Chrystel...

Hey Guys: I am going to the dog park for sure this weekend. I think I am only going to take Zoey though since Arthur seems to get sick every time I take him. Agggh. I am going to Grape Fest in Grapevine on Saturday, which means Sunday is the day. Anyone up for going Sunday? I was thinking around 3 or 4 if it's not to hot. Hope everyone is well, and I look forward to catching up one of these days soon! Amy
CHRYSTEL- Arthur got kennel cough from the park too. It makes me mad that people take puppies up there and get everyone elses dogs sick. I wish I would have been at the park. I would have loved to stick up for that poor old man!

sunday sounds great! 3-4pm
i might even take my neighboor. they have a mix golden, Maddy.. she's so cute. she's Snatch best friend
they love playing together so i told them we should go to the park together.. let's see, they might be free for this sunday
i'll ask them tomorrow.
if we see any puppy on sunday.. i don't know if we shouldnt all of us send a letter to the city of plano.. it really makes me mad....
