7 week chew snacks?

What can I give my 7 week old male to chew on. I understand raw hides are not good for them. I have been told rib bones are good but I have always been worried about them splintering. Kong's are just too messy and he has no interest in nylabones.

Any recommendations?

We give our dogs raw marrow bones but they are only allowed to have those outside. We've also given them hooves, but they are kind of smelly. We recently tried deer antlers which have been a big hit. No mess or smell. The catch is that they are expensive but they last FOREVER. Luca and Romeo have each had one for over 2 months and they haven't made a dent in them!

Rocky wasn't interested in his nylabone until a few months ago. He's 1 1/2 now. We left it out and he'd sniff every now and again but that was it. One day he "discovered" it and went to town on it. Kongs can be messy depending on what you put in them. If you stuff it with something like milk bones it's not bad. I smear peanut butter on the top of our and freeze it for a long lasting treat, and yes that gets messy. The favorite things to "chew" on are actually squeaky toys for our boy. Rocky loves messing around with a good old squeaky ball or stuffed animal. Keeps us all entertained for long periods of time.

Raw marrow bones, Kongs stuffed with crunchy treats with liverwurst smeared on top & then frozen -- he's allergic to peanuts & cheese, so no peanut butter for him :(
