    Boarding in Denver, CO

I'm going out of town this summer for 10 days, and while we're trying to find someone to watch Zeb, if this is not possible does anyone have recommendations of places where you have boarded your boxer? Thanks much!

    Gas??!!

My vet also recommended putting a few drops of beano on their food. I haven't tried it but it might work.

    Eating Grass

Thank you! I have Zebbie on Pro Plan Sensitive Skin/Stomach and his BMs are much better than when we had him on Canidae (less volume and less gas). His BMs seem to being getting better, more stiff stools and less of the runny stuff and he also likes it a lot better than the Canidae. Putting...

    Eating Grass

Thank you for the advice! Zeb doesn't ever puke up the grass, so he must just like the taste of it. I was thinking maybe him eating it indicated he had a sick gut but he has both normal and loose stools. I'm not sure if should take him back to the vet, perhaps his GI system is still maturing...

    Eating Grass

My 6 month old has been frequently eating grass as of lately. On and off he has loose stools, maybe 1-2 times a week. Just when I think I should take him to the vet, he has a normal BMs and they last for a couple of days. I've read dogs eat grass because they have an upset GI system, though...

    Canidae -

I had my 5 month pup on Canidae but it really increased the amount of stools he had and also ended up causing loose stools. He also had a lot of eye boogers so I switched him over to Pro Plan Sensitive Skin/Stomach. He's had a sensitive system since we've had him and this is the first dog...

    Housebreaking!!

That's who I named Zeb for! Since we live in Colorado I thought it would be a good name for a Colorado Boxer. My favorite nickname is to meld it with my fiance's last name, Zacanelli, and call him Zebanelli, so now he's an Italian, Coloradian Boxer!

    Housebreaking!!

It took about a month to get him to use the bells, and meanwhile we just had to make sure that we took him out about every hour. Yes, our boxer's name is Zebulon! I told my fiance, whose last name begins with a "Z", if we ever have a kid I wanted their first name to begin with a "Z" but he...

    Hello, from Denver, CO!

It was the same situation for my Fiance. He loves small dogs, but there was no way around it, we were getting a boxer. He wanted to take Zeb back the first week we had him, but now he admits Zeb is kind of cute!

    Housebreaking!!

Bells To housebreak our puppy we crate trained him, took him out frequently, and also used bells to condition him. We hung 6 jingle bells on a ribbon around the door knob and everytime we took him out to potty we rang the bells. Now when he wants to go out he hits the bells with his nose and...

new baby...need a little help (little long)

Be Strong . . . Our first week with our 3 month old was also difficult! We put him in his crate at nights, and while he hated it at first, he walks right in it when its time to go to bed. What worked best of us was to use a spray bottle and every time he cried we squirted him. This lasted...

    Hello, from Denver, CO!

Growing up with Boxers, I couldn't wait to get one myself as an adult, though I don't seem to remember it being so much work! I have a 5 months old male fawn named Zeb and he's such a lover. Despite two cases of Giardia and a bit of stress colitis after his last round of vaccinations, he's...
