How many all meat meals (no bone) should be provided in a week. I
feed twice a day..so 14 meals a week. How many of them should be all
meat meals? I prefer to feed my RMB meals and my "all meat meals" separate. I'm very curious to what everyone else is doing regarding this issue.
P.S--I...
No name yet
Droppped by the vet first thing this morning...she's still hooked up to IV. She'll need another bag of fluid before she can come home. I then went to the Cambridge Humane Soceity and stated my case. They were pretty good about it. They couldn't find her in the "reported missing...
Hello all
I've posted a few times but I'm mostly just a lurker.
I found a dog today...the animal control couldn't catch it....so I did. She's at the vet right now on intervenous. She was very dehydrated and about 15 maybe 20 pounds under weight. I figure she's a boxer/lab cross...maybe...
Vet In T.O
I see a fantastic vet in Acton..not far from Toronto. Her name is Sharon Kopinack and she is well worth the drive. I live in Cambridge and if I need her I do the 45 minute drive no problem! Her fees are more than reasonable and the atmosphere is wonderful. Your dog can lounge on...
Oh and by the way
I did take Shake to the vet about the itchy feet problem...of course prednisone was the treatment..and of course I said no. I'm a bit on the "holisticy" side and didn't want to go that route!;)
I just thought I'd add that

Bag Balm and Nizeral
Well Shake is all Bag Balmed up and after an afternoon of using the search option (which I just figured out) I also Nizeraled his feet. By the way things sound maybe Shake has a yeast infection on his feet. Years of itching for nothing...I wish I had found this site years...
Thank you sooo much
Who would of thought this was so common? I assumed you would all think I was loopy posting a crunchy nose problem. I'm off to pin Shake down and lather his nose up with Bag Balm wether he likes it or not!:D And I can tell you he will NOT!
Once again I will say this forum...
Food Processor for me
I just got my food processor...it was relatively cheap. 50.00 can.
It is great for veggie mush...no problems so far. I love it!
Good luck
Troy, Shake and Penny:)
Hello all!
I thought I'd post this and see if anyone has any opinions on this issue.
Shakespeare is 10. For about a year now his nose looks "crunchy". Like it is trying to peel but can't. The blackness of his nose leather is very rough and dry looking.
I homecooked for several years...
I've been reading a few of the postings on "mucousy" poop.
Penny has been having this problem since I switched from homecooking to raw about a month ago.
I've added pumpkin to her food and stopped all dairy...yogurt and cheese treats etc. and she still seems to have runny mucousy "movements"...
I combine my cooked veggies, offal and rmbs all together with everymeal. I add my supplements as needed. The days that Penny "reacted" I had added some raw veggie mash to the mix. It didn't turn out as planned;) .
It is alright to combine everything like that isn't it? The dogs seem to be...
I jsut thought I'd ask these questions here as there are some seasoned barfers out there who could most likely help me.
1. Is it alright to mix different types of rmbs for one meal...say, chicken carcass and rabbit or turkey and lamb etc?
2. Why does Shakespeare rub his face good and hard...
Whole ground carcasses shouldn't require any additional meat to be added, it should contain lots of goodies
Thank you so much for that tidbit of info. I've been feeding whole ground carcass as their rmbs as of late. I feel better knowing that they are getting enough. I'll add more offal as...
I was just wondering if any one could help me out there? I'm a little confused about mucle meat percentages of meals. Does 50% rmb's and 20% muscle meat and the rest veggies etc sound right? (I think I read that somewhere) And what if the rmbs are good and meaty? Is the muscle meat still...
