2-year-old neutered male suddenly dog aggressive LONG

Hi, Thank you for replying. :o) We tried the dog park last week without Izzy, and he got aggressive with a very happy, friendly Lab mix. We corrected him, took him to an empty part of the park for some obedience work, then left. As we were leaving, and unneutered male Golden Retriever pup...

2-year-old neutered male suddenly dog aggressive LONG

Hi. It's been awhile since I posted here, but I read a lot of the forums. Lots of great info. :o) I'm having what I consider a big, heartbreaking problem. Sorry this post is soooo long. I have two boxers: an almost 2-year-old neutered male fawn named Rupert who was given to us when he was...

    White lump under tongue

Hi... Get the vet to look, but there's a pretty good chance it's the canine papillomavirus. A dog wart. The vet said puppies are prone to them, but they usually appear on the gums and inner cheeks, so we can't see them. She also noted that boxers seemed to get them a lot. Our babies get...

    White Boxer & Sunscreen

Hi, I know it's important to use sunscreen on white boxers, and we've been using it on our 5-month-old Izzy since we got her last week. I have natural baby sunscreen lotion, but I don't feel like I'm getting it on properly. (I'm using it on her ears and other areas of her face that seem...

Newly adopted 5 month old struggles with housetraining

I love that wiggle! We live to see them dance that way. When we get home and we let Izzy out of the crate, she and Rupert practically levitate from wiggling so hard. Poor little boo boos don't know who to love first: My boyfriend, me or each other.

Newly adopted 5 month old struggles with housetraining

Thanks, Caney. I've started following her around a lot more. I had been letting her and Rupert spend the days wrestling and jawing...now I'm paying closer attention. It's cute to watch her and Rupert together. He's helping to train her. When she jumps up on me, which he knows is a no-no, he...

Newly adopted 5 month old struggles with housetraining

That all makes perfect sense! Thank you. I've been using the leash with her all day. She's still pulling on the leash a bit, and when i put her on leash she's ready to go out the gate and explore, but I'm just leading her over to her potty spot and treating when she goes. The vet says she's been...

Newly adopted 5 month old struggles with housetraining

Hi, This is only my second post other than my (long) introductory post. My name is Michelle, and my boyfriend and I are the very happy owners of two boxers: 1.5-year-old Rupert, whom we got when he was 10 weeks old; and Izzy, a 5-month-old white female whom we adopted about a week ago...

    Dog Dreams and Hiccups

Our Rupert has doggie dreams all the time. He barks, grrrrs, and moves his feet as if he's running. I think he's dreaming about chasing squirrels in his sleep. He gets hiccups all the time, too, whenever he's excited (if he smells chicken cooking, or when he sees me heading for the treat cupboard.

    Greetings from Rupert & Izzy

Hello, My name is Michelle, and my significant other and I have two wonderful, charming boxers, Rupert and Izzy. Someone gave us Rupert when he was just 8 weeks old. He's a 1.5-year-old neutered fawn with an excellent temperament. He's pretty laid-back and calm for a boxer. He's a late...
