    Advice Please: Copperhead bite

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Yea, it was awful! Every time I close my eyes to go to sleep I see it happening all over again. He is also very cautious about going outside and I am too. He is a big boy and normally weighs in about 88 pounds, I thought he had put on a couple...

    Advice Please: Copperhead bite

Last night Reece was bitten 3 times on his front leg and once on his face by a Copperhead. I rushed him to the EmergiVet and he was administered the anti-venom, IV Fluids, antibiotics, steroids, anti-histamines and pain meds. When I picked him up this morning he still had a lot of swelling in...

    Smoke is still losing it!

That is wonderful! I would love to know what diet you have Smoke on. My grandfather has moved to town and brought his jack russell terrier that weighs 40 pounds! He thinks he has been good to her cooking her sausage and biscuits and etc. :) But I have got to help him transition her to a...

    Trash Scavenger

I hope you get some good suggestions on this one. This is the one problem that I have not been able to break Reese of. The way our house is designed there is not really a good place to put the garbage can except where he can access it.

    Ticks!

My children would love for us to get some chickens, but I am not quite sure how our neighbors would like it! We had a tick check on all 3 dogs last night and didn't find anymore, so hopefully it is not a "big problem". But, I will continue to check them when they come in at night. Thanks!

    Ticks!

I went home to let Reese out for lunch and found a tick in his ear. I use Advantage Multi on him and I just looked and it does not cover ticks. Do you know of anything I can put in my backyard to get rid of the ticks that is "pet safe"?

    Oncology visit..Cami=KUJO!

I can certainly relate to this Pokey was the same way but it was walking in the Vet's office period. None of my friends could believe the sweet puppy he was could act so terrible. But wow, it was more traumatic for me to take him to the Vet than I believe it was for him. As soon as he was...

    Baby Gates

Thats what I am finding out! I am also finding how different two boxers can be. Pokey basically would not cross a string if I put one across the floor and Reese knows no boundaries! Just like my skin kids, totally opposite! Just gotta love'em! They are such a special breed I can't imagine...

    Baby Gates

I will put up a gate to keep him confined in one part of the house and he will literally put a paw on the top and just knock it down and walk right over it as if it weren't there. Trust me, he knows he is not supposed to do it, but this and counter surfing are the 2 things I have not been able...

Oh My Goodness! You should have warned me not to open the tub of liver in a car when the outside temp was 95 degrees!! Boy do those things stink :) I got home last night with the tub of beef liver and Reese loved them, they are definitely a HIT! Thanks so much for the info, this site is...
