Hi everyone,
Last week my baby lost the battle with rocky mountain spotted fever and had to be put to sleep. I'm still in shock. I had no idea it could be so devastating and dangerously hard to diagnose and to treat.
We live in Arkasas, USA and I don't know of any other folks who have...
Hi Everyone!
I've been in and out of this forum for the last year asking questions and seeking advice for Tucker. Last year at about this time he started showing a loss of function and weakness in his legs and it was determined that he most likely had a tick disease and was treated for it...
Just wanted to update you and thank all of you for the comments and kinds thoughts for Tucker.
I have been so stressed out over all this... Last Thursday morning I woke up at 3am and couldn't hear Tucker breathing (snoring) under the bed. I reached under and couldn't feel him breathing, he...
Thank you all for the responses. Tucker is maybe a bit better with the new round of meds. I think he is feeling a little better and is a tiny bit stronger but is still stumbling. He has jumped up on the bed a couple of times to go to sleep with us and it just made my day! Of course the next...
Tucker is not getting better. From what I've read on the internet DM will cause the back legs to drag in 3-6 months and then the front...can cause respiratory arrest after that. There are neuro drugs that can sometimes make dramatic improvments so I guess that will be next.
Matthewneal...
thanks
Thanks for all the posts, I really appreciate the support.
I took Tucker to the vet this weekend and they did xray his spine. Nothing showed up on them. Last week they had him on a non steroid anti-inflamatory drug and he showed no improvement. My Vet is trying to rule out...
My poor baby is not doing so well. Tucker is 7 and has for 2 weeks been unable to get around very well. His tests have all come back normal and he is not in pain but is having weakness in all four limbs. He stumbles around and walks into things. We go back to our vet in the morning and I've...
My seven year old male boxer has been in great health and last week suddenly started having problems getting up on the bed. We thought he was sore from a long walk but it didn't get better. It has progressed to walking into things, walls, fumbling down the stairs etc. On Friday I noticed for...
Tucker was diagnosed with this problem and we've been very fortunate that he has not required any type of surgery. We've been putting his drops in several times a day and he has good vascular flow to his eye so they expect it to heal. Just wondering if any of you had this experience and how...
I'm from Little Rock, AR and new to the site. I'm proud mama to Tucker who is almost 6 and who is my sweet baby! He's my second boxer - I'm a true fan of the breed and will be forever!
Just wanted to say Hi!
