    Hair not growing back

Our boxer (Bailey) had a mct removed, coming up 4 weeks this Tuesday. Most of her back leg was shaved, and the hair hasn't hardly grown back at all; almost not at all. Vet is thinking it could be a thyroid issue, but Bailey does not have any signs. Vet suggested running a thryroid test...

    A boxer lover

Great story, thanks for sharing. Funny how excited these boxers get when they see you. Our neighbor has watched our dogs a few times, and she has dubbed Bailey "wiggles." I call it the "boxer boogie." haha

    Boxers luv snow!

Our boxer loves the snow too. When it snows, it's like she knows I need to shovel and she'll hover by me, patiently waiting.

4 month old boxer help needed :)

The great thing about society, sansal, is everyone is entitled to their opion. If this has been your experience, then you were disciplining your dog too much. Good luck on the house training dchaves...remember too it takes time. Funny (I'm sure not to you) that she's biting your toes...

Mast Cell Tumor - Advice Needed

I did a search online, but where is the best place to purchase? And, do you buy yours in a liquid form? Capsule?

    Another MCT

Not only benadryl, but predisone too. Our vet said that research is showing pred can help shrink the mct. Bailey weighs 60 lbs, and she was on pred for 2 weeks before the surgery. Was taking 1 1/2 pills every day (which is a very high dose), then 1/2 a pill every other day (wound up being...

4 month old boxer help needed :)

Obsiously opinions vary and I had a feeling I'd get some comments. Based on experience, it does work and it's not cruel, and a little positive re-enforcement helps; they will not be scared of you and lose trust unless you take it to far.

Open wound from mass cell tumor

Not knowing what you know about mct; as is new to us...Bailey was on prednisone for 2 weeks before the surgery; as research has shown (per our vet and I believe I read it on the forum) this can help reduce the tumor size. If your vet hasn't mentioned this may want to ask. May want to ask vet...

4 month old boxer help needed :)

I never used a training pad. When mine was a pup we watched her pretty close, and if she went in the house, did the traditional put her nose by it, told her no, gave her a swat, took her to the back door and told her outside, then took her out. And if she hadn't been out for awhile...

Open wound from mass cell tumor

There is no way she is licking it being my wife and I work out of the house; thank goodness for this as don't know what would have done. She freaks out with a cone on her head, have tried it a few different times now, and in the past, and it's not a good experience. And my wife hears every...

    I've planted the seed!

2 dogs aren't really much more work than 1, as they entertain each other! Granted, we don't have 2 boxers, but a boxer and a yellow lab.
