The other question, is what about an anxiety wrap for Gus.....I have been reading about them. I see people have used them with positive results for seperation anxiety, etc., but not specifically for a fear aggressive dog. Does anyone have an opinion on whether that would be beneficial in my case?

Thanks for the responses....we are working on the training him to crate when people come to the door. We do not have it yet, but it is getting a little better. He is just so DETERMINED! You can actually tell that he thinks about whether he really wants the treat or not...no matter what it is...

In response to Jerrybobby. Yes he was socialized around some children before 16 weeks. We don't have a ton of little kids in our family, and my son is 8 y/o......his experience around children was primarily when we would walk him, take him to the park, or camping when they greet him.

I totally agree with what Gilbert said! We take our puppy out the back door when he has to do his business, and he goes out the front door when its time to play in the yard! Our pup caught on to this REALLY fast!

My puppy came home at 7weeks and was the exact same way. He is now 10 weeks and doing a lot better. We have been putting toys in his mouth, and trying to teach him what "NO" means! Which I think he is finally starting to understand.

Thanks! He saw the vet today for his shots....they did a physical exam on his hips and said that they didn't feel loose, or that he had any clicking! They did say that he stands a little cow hocked. They are gonna keep a close eye on him, and x-ray his at 1 year if there are any changes!
